ABOUT THE
BLOGGER
On November 19, 1983, Maria Filomena Baldaria Oneza got
married to Elmer Binaluyo Apolinario through church rites at San Francisco de
Asis Parish Church in Brgy. Rayap, Binangonan, Rizal. They begot 7 children
namely; Christian (that’s me), Chi-Chester, Catherine, Elmer Jr., Chuck Collin’s,
Chambers and Chyrus.

Accordingly, I was born normal and healthy through spontaneous
delivery. However, after my first birthday, I suffered severe high fever. They rushed
me to the Hospital but it’s too late, I was diagnosed of Poliomyelitis, weakening
the muscles, affecting the bones of my feet and arms. And soon I was not been
able to walk. I can only move my eyes and it’s hard for me to say a word. I am
bed ridden for several months.
My parents brought me to several faith healers, hoping that I
will recover the unexpected event. By the power of Prayer, Massage and Touch
Therapy it helps me regain at least a little bit of physical activity. I had moved
my arms, my head and was able to sit. Sadly, it did not bring back my walking ability;
however, these are enough reason to thank GOD.
Growing up, is really hard for me. I am wandering and asking
why I was putted in this kind of situation. I wanted to play, run as the normal
child does but I can’t. I diverted my attention to board games though I wanted
to try different things especially when I get bored. Realizing that I am different from other
people make me cry.

Years come, hence the time for facing reality, to conquer my
fear and set aside the doubt and the self pettiness I feel inside. The moment
to overcome the shyness, learn how to deal with people and accept criticisms
positively. I develop my skills and talent in singing. I also play guitar, had
tried playing keyboard. I incredibly find myself hook to music. It gives me
peace of mind. I do write poems and stories of love, adventure, and friendship.
I even try to write a story of tragedy.
I set up my goals to finish my studies. Focus my attention
in extracurricular activities. I gain the courage to express my ideas, desires,
dreams and plans for my life. After college, I was able to land a job at
Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office in Binangonan, Rizal as an
administrative aide, Teleperformance Philippines-EDSA as a call center agent
and now a Social Welfare Officer at TAHANANG WALANG HAGDANAN.
Throughout the years, I learned to appreciate the life that
GOD given to me. With the help of my family especially Nanay and Tatay,
cousins, peers, relatives and friends I coped up and fought to survive. I want
to thank these people who accept me as I am. Despite of having physical disability,
I feel normal like anyone else because they treat me in the way I deserve.
